Online CounselingOur Response to COVID-19
We are now available for video sessions through online counseling, or Telehealth!
Mental health therapy shouldn’t be hard to get, and with in-office visits, sometimes life gets in the way. We care about your privacy. With online therapy sessions, there’s no chance of running into someone you know in the waiting room. In fact, there’s no waiting room at all. There’s no traffic, travel, or taking off of work early. With Telehealth, we can provide convenience. You can receive counseling from the comfort of your home or on the go. Money can get tight – why spend on childcare and gas to come to counseling? With no need to go to an office, you can save money and receive quality mental health care.
We know that finding that “right fit” counselor can be challenging – you may move to another city, go off to college, or live too far away to make that weekly drive. Some days you’re sick, traveling, or simply can’t find the motivation to get out of bed. Now, you don’t have to. We are proud to announce that we are available for video sessions using the confidential video system – Telehealth.
What is Online Counseling or Telehealth?
Telehealth is an innovative way to provide mental health counseling services via secure video chat. At Amy Wine Counseling Center, we use Theranest, a HIPPA compliant software, to conduct live video therapy sessions with our clients, ensuring that we extend the same rigorous confidentiality standards applied for our in-office clients to our virtual clients.
How does online counseling work?
All of our counselors are available for Telehealth services, and once you choose a counselor or are matched with the best fit, you’ll receive an appointment for one in-office intake session. After an initial, in-person intake session to get to know your counselor, you will be sent a secure link that connects you directly to you Telehealth session through our Theranest portal. You do not have to download any applications – all you need to join into your Teleheath session is your scheduled appointment, a secure internet connection, and the individualized link from your counselor. You can then join in from anywhere using your laptop, computer, or phone!
Is Telehealth right for me?
Telehealth can be a great alternative to in-office visits for anyone in the state of Texas, including those with anxiety or depression that makes it hard to leave the house, those with busy, demanding, or fluctuating schedules, and those too far away to drive to the office. Telehealth services at Amy Wine Counseling Center remove the travel time from your appointment while still providing you the same quality of care we are dedicated to providing all of our clients.
