Priya Hajari


I am drawn to the field of counseling because I have repeatedly seen the impact of being heard and feeling understood. I believe that talk therapy can provide relief and solace for everyone and allow them to feel comfortable in their own skin.

While serving through an ethical and multicultural lens, I hope to provide a safe and comfortable space for people to explore their deepest thoughts and feelings with me.

I am drawn to person-centered approaches that foster empathy and compassion. I also have additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Therapy, the Gottman Method Couples Therapy — Level 1, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.

With that, I recognize that other approaches and interventions are helpful and will implement those when appropriate. I believe that everyone is their own expert, and my role is to support people in utilizing their expertise to become more self-aware, gain personal insight, and achieve growth.

The coolest thing I’ve ever done is eat Gruyère cheese in Gruyère, Switzerland!

Wildflowers make me tear up because I love them so much!

My Myers-Briggs type is ISFJ! 

I’m obsessed with coming up with different smoothie and juice recipes!  

If I could have any superpower, it would be teleportation so I could visit loved ones and travel to new places in the blink of an eye!
