We are all able to pinpoint something in our lives that we want to change: we want to suffer less, laugh more, love more fully and avoid anxiety. When we realize that whatever it is we have been trying to do to get rid of that anxiety isn’t working, that’s when we start looking for other solutions. Perhaps this is the path you’re finding yourself on right now.

Reaching out for help takes courage, but it is the first step towards a happier relationship, a happier life, a happier you. I hope you know that your decision to start on this journey of healing is a tremendous act of self-care, and you do not have to go through it alone.

My approach to counseling is holistic, eclectic, and collaborative. Each person is incredibly special and unique. There is no “cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all” therapy, so I believe it is important to be flexible and to meet clients wherever they are in their journey. My goal is to provide you with a safe, restful, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and express yourself freely.

As partners in this process, we will explore the areas in your life you wish to improve, then together, come up with a plan of action that works for you. You are the expert of your life, and my goal is to partner with you in a collaborative manner, providing guidance to help you learn more about yourself, make lasting change, and create the life you desire.

Over the past few years, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and couples – in addition to providing behavioral therapy to children with autism. My work in private practice, schools, community centers, and behavioral clinics has provided me with a depth of insight and experience, all of which will assist me in my work with you.

In individual counseling, I provide support and encouragement as you rewrite your story and work towards creating the life you want. In the couples therapy process, I guide partners in learning how to improve communication, build intimacy, and solve conflict in a respectful way. I particularly enjoy working with engaged couples and providing premarital counseling, where we discuss communication, conflict resolution, finances, expectations of marriage, and other topics that will prepare the couple for a happy, healthy, love-filled life together. I am a certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator and have been trained in guiding couples through this specialized premarital program.

Additionally, as a Certified Sex Therapist-Candidate, I provide therapy for individuals experiencing problems with sexual intimacy. Together, we explore solutions for sexual pain, diminished arousal or desire, exploring gender and sexual identity, and other issues. I have completed training through the Texas Sex Therapy Institute.

No matter what challenges you face, there is hope within you. You do not have to be a victim of your circumstances; rather, you can find the power within yourself to rise up and take control of your life. While counseling may challenge you to make changes and step out of your comfort zone, it is truly a cathartic, life-changing experience – one you will walk out of feeling stronger, empowered, and more confident in yourself. Let’s make it happen! Contact me here when you’re ready to make an appointment.
