Taking this step in finding support for yourself or a loved one is courageous. Making the decision to seek counseling can be challenging and nerve-wracking, but hopefully you come to learn that it can help you grow and explore new possibilities. I provide support and encouragement in inviting you to process your thoughts, feelings and behaviors free of judgement. I aim to create a safe space in which you will be empowered to develop healthy coping skills and new ways of tackling your day-to-day life, past trauma and future challenges. I will walk next to you on this path of healing.
I am passionate about building connections with the individuals and families I serve. I enjoy working with children, teens and young adults, addressing anxiety, grief, trauma, attachment wounds, parenting, depression, life transitions and interpersonal conflict. I tailor the therapeutic modality based on your individual needs by incorporating techniques of cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR and play therapy with the emphasis on trust, understanding and active listening. I practice with a multicultural lens, as I believe it is essential to welcome diversity and meet individuals where they are at.
Please contact me when you are ready to begin the process of healing, I would be honored to work with you, your child or your family. Let us embark on this journey together!
I love to travel to explore new places, meet new people and try new foods.
I have a cute little black Lab puppy named Frankie.
I am happiest when I am with people I care about or when eating a big bowl of chocolate chip ice cream.
My happy place is on the top of a mountain or outside in nature!
I was born and raised in Norway, which will always be "home" to me.
